1. Who we are

Fluent Institute is a school-transformation platform operated by Accountable Hindustan Pvt Ltd, a company incorporated in India. Our registered address and contact details are available on request at hello@fluent.institute.

2. What data we collect

We collect and process the following categories of data:

• Account data: name, email address, and role (principal, teacher, student, or parent).
• School data: school name and city provided during onboarding.
• Onboarding responses: self-assessment answers, scores, and focus areas you submit through the platform.
• Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, and approximate session times — collected via analytics only with consent.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically by our infrastructure.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

• Create and manage your Fluent account.
• Personalise your onboarding journey and dashboard.
• Generate transformation scores (FSTI, TGI, AFS, PES, LGI) from your self-assessment answers.
• Improve our platform and develop new features.
• Send service emails (account confirmation, password reset).
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of (a) contractual necessity — to provide you with the Fluent platform you have signed up for; (b) legitimate interests — to operate, improve, and secure our service; and (c) consent — where we ask for it specifically (e.g. marketing communications).

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases hosted on AWS infrastructure in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai) region. We apply row-level security, encrypted connections (TLS), and access controls to protect your information. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it for longer.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your account and personal data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
